Inuits, Native Americans as Altaic?

What do the Turkic and Mongolian people think? Are these people Altaic? Or just distant relatives?

Genetically, they are quite close to Altaic people with high percentages of Y haplogroup N1c1 and physically resembling Siberians.

Even though they are genetically related with Siberian peoples, the Inuits and Native Americans don't speak Altaic languages, but rather they have their own distinct language families.
