I wonder which horse is most suitable for warfare, also which one is biggest and fastest?
From readings I got the impression of arab horses being the biggest and most suitable for warfare, also the akhal tekke is a big horse but not as big as the arab horse I read, but I heard that the akhal tekke is actually bigger, which one is correct?
the difference between the arab and akhal-tekke according to a article I read is the hooves, arab horses have bigger hooves to get better grip at the sand countrary to akhal - tekke which has small hooves to get good grip in steppe enivorment.
also the mongolian horse pony is suitable for warfare I read, they dont need to be feed but finds grass on its own even during snow, is this true?

I've never really considered Arabians as big horses. I thought Akhal Tekke is bigger.

Different horses are good for differrent things. Arab horses are fast and agile. Wesern horses are big. Steppe horses can run the furthest and live without help when it is n0t -50.

Yeah, Mongolian horses are famous for being able to dig through snow to find grass to eat. Some other steppe people, like the Yenesei Kirghiz, bred larger, faster horses. But those horses couldn't forage for grass and were harder to take care of.

Are the Mongolian pony alike horses faster then the European ones? Would be a wierd sight to see a little fat horse go faster haha
But im curious because of Mongols invaded Europe with those horses and the European horses look more fit and faster.

depends on what you consider european horses. modern horse breeds common to europe are breeds with a long lineage of interbreeding with other horses, starting in late medieval/early modern period. first native european horses were interbred with arabian horses and later other horse breeds too. the typical european horse by medieval standards are draft horses, even though modern draft horses are specifically bred and heavier than medieval european horses.
