Thank you dear ALTAR. Even though the Battle of Manzikert was fought outside the Steppe Zone, it had many Steppe peoples, primarily the Oghuz-Turkmens, fighting in Steppe styles. Indeed, this battle is one of the best examples of Steppe military tactics.

Yes, it's celebrated and commemorated in Turkey. But funny thing is that up to now, there has been no movies or tv series that depict those events.
Probably a native Armenian peasant who withnessed the battle.
