I wonder when the democray will come to central asian turkic countries,
for example what happend in kyrgyzstan is unique but not full democratic like they have in scandinavia.
What will the future be for turkmenistan, uzbekistan, kyrgyzstan kazakhstan, will they become democratic or still ruled by a russian brainwashed culture like the one now

What a bizarre comparison of Central Asian Countries with Scandinavia. What happened in Kyrgyzstan is not unique. It's happening there the second time already, though the first time it was the American sponsored coup, now it's Russian sponsored. There are no democracies there. The question itself is weird, who knows what will be there? Nostradamus? "Russian brainwashed culture" what is that supposed to mean? tell this to someone in Uzbekistan or Turkmenistan... They will feel very offended...

What a bizarre comparison of Central Asian Countries with Scandinavia. Heh, you do know sometimes steppe folks are considered the "Vikings of Asia", RAID PILLAGE BURN! RAID PILLAGE BURN! RAID PILLAGE BURN! CONQUEST AND PILLAGING! ;D As is the stereotype. Typical of the West really to propagate such BS. But at least Asatru is reviving in Scandinavia - or at least attempting to.

Sorry, I was supposed to write post communist thinking, I didnt mean russian, I mean the elite of russia, and other post soviet republics, theyy only think of there own interest and money and not to serve the common man, as in turkmenistan , uzbekistan, kyrgyzistan, kazakhstan, also I see some similar behavior in former communist republics in east europe.
I mean the leading elite and not the people in the country,
for example if they would think of the nations best and the comman man in for example uzbekistan , turkmenistan other post soviet republics they would have free fair elections.
What I tended to see in former soviet people is the wish to become filthy rich, many wants to get rich they dont wish happiness first, the impression I get is that if u become rich u are happy, of course I am not talking about everyone but a large minority.
Maybe they wish to become rich becasue they were very poor during communist era,
here in scandinavia the first thing people wish is happiness and a stable jobb so that they can provide for their children not to become a tycoone
anyway, enough said, as I am saying it doesnt apply everyone just a big minority that I have meet,
back to the topic,
do u guys think there will be democracy in central asia in 40 years, will the current people who have lived in communism era step down and make way for new generation which grew up in a more open minded enviroment, like russia, it has a lot of potential but the current elite is bandits, nothing more
enough said
