"But there is a difference, because in English, Mr. and Ms. are used with the lastnames while in Turkish, Bey is used with the firstname. The Modern Turkish words "Bay" and "Bayan" (not to be confused with the same Old Turkic words meaning "Rich") are the exact equivalents of English "Mr." and "Ms.".

But Bay and Bayan are rarely using in speaking language of daily life.
Mostly we use Bey(for male) and Hanım(for female).

Yes, but with the first names Like, a person would address me as "İhsan Bey", but in English, I would be called "Mr. Erkoç"
